Two police officers were passed over for a potential promotion that was given to less qualified colleagues without a competitive process and without the chance to interview for the position. Mr. Skipper brought claims of discrimination on behalf of his clients, and the case was resolved on favorable terms.

Visicore v. Cheeks
Successfully litigated a mulit-day trial arising over a promissory note dispute between former business partners in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court. Judge Crooks awarded our client the full amount of the promissory note and reasonable attorneys’ fees.

M.T. v. HOA
An Anne Arundel County HOA approved a proposal for our client to build a deck on her home. After granting approval, the HOA told the client that the deck would need to be some natural color. When the client’s contractor build a composite deck using pine-colored materials, HOA claimed the client was in violation & demanded that she replace the deck. On behalf of his client, Mr. Skipper responded noting that pine was a “natural color” and that the HOA could pay for the replacement of the deck. HOA backed off.
