Petra Aaron is an experienced litigator with substantial jury trial experience.
Prior to joining Skipper Law, she spent over a decade in the Office of
the State’s Attorney for Maryland, Baltimore City prosecuting some
of Baltimore’s most heinous crimes. Her most recent assignment was
to the Special Victims Unit. Throughout her career as an Assistant State’s
Attorney, she prided herself on being a victims’ advocate. When
a trial was not in the victims’ and the State’s best interests,
she was able to successfully negotiate many plea agreements.
Prior to joining the Office of the State’s Attorney, Ms. Aaron clerked
for The Honorable Wanda Keyes Heard and The Honorable Sylvester B. Cox
in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. In those roles, she gained experience
in both civil and criminal actions. Ms. Aaron has passed her trial experience
onto others by serving as a mock trial team coach for three years.
Before joining the practice of law, Ms. Aaron enjoyed a career as a Clinical
Laboratory Scientist. She worked in various hospitals doing hematology,
and this technical and data-driven background has provided her a good
foundation in many areas of the law.
Ms. Aaron is now a proud resident of Howard County. She is a former competitive
gymnast who still has a strong interest in the sport. Additionally, she
has a passion for helping those in need, leading her to a role at Skipper
Law advocating for her clients’ rights.
