Elisabeth “Lisa” Chaney first joined Skipper Law in 2018 as
a law clerk. She completed a dual degree program in 2019, earning both
a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and
a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg
School of Public Health. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and
summa cum laude from McDaniel College in 2014 with a degree in Political Science and International Studies.
During law school, Lisa participated in the Appellate and Post-Conviction
Advocacy Clinic. This gave her the opportunity to argue a case before
the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, which resulted in a victory for
her client. Lisa spent three legislative sessions working at the Maryland
General Assembly as an intern and legislative assistant. She also has
worked as a law clerk at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender and
as a judicial intern for the Honorable Edward R.K. Hargadon at the Baltimore
City Circuit Court.
Lisa lives in Arnold, Maryland with her husband and daughter. She enjoys
paddle boarding, scuba diving, and spending time with her friends and family.
