Matthew D. Skipper is the founding and managing member of Skipper Law, LLC, a civil litigation firm located in Crofton, Maryland. Prior to founding

Skipper Law, Mr. Skipper worked as an associate at Trunell Law, LLC. At Trunnell Law, Matt founded the firm’s homeowners’ association/condominium practice group, a team dedicated to the representation of homeowners in claims against HOAs and condos. Mr. Skipper served as the lead personal injury attorney at Trunnell Law as well, trying accident cases in the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland on behalf of those hurt by another’s negligence.

Mr. Skipper is an experienced litigator who works diligently to reach a favorable resolution, often without the need to file a lawsuit or step foot in court. While most clients would rather resolve their case without the need for a trial, Matt has the experience needed to protect his clients’ interests in court when litigation becomes inevitable. While Mr. Skipper has handled a variety of civil matters, he focuses his practice on the following areas:

  • Personal injury/automobile accidents
  • Homeowner HOA/condo representation
  • Business, contract and breach of contract
  • Estate planning (wills, power of attorney, advanced directives)
  • Employment law
  • Appeals

Mr. Skipper is also an experienced appellate litigator, having argued appeals in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and the federal U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Skipper is capable of handling appeals involving many different areas of law, and enjoys his growing appellate practice.

Mr. Skipper is admitted to practice law in Maryland state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit located in Richmond, Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law (Class of 2010) where he served as Class President. Matt is a member of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland Association for Justice. Mr. Skipper has also served on the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors since 2013.
